Lauren Zettler - Getaway (Lou Ruinart RMX)

Rising French production/DJ talent, Lou Ruinart, drops off a groovy deep house remix of Lauren Zettler’s track, “Getaway.”

Driven by a floor-filling bassline groove, Lou’s remix of “Getaway” has an awesome blend of deep house club sounds and mainstream radio appeal. Playing to the strengths of Lauren’s vocals from the original track, Lou keeps the verses/breakdowns relatively minimal, before transitioning to summer-ready, deep house bassline sections that would surely get any club moving. Cosmic Elegy - Astral

Budding production talent, Cosmic Elegy, returns with his first track in over a year to bring us the melodic, free-flowing sounds of “Astral.”

With a sound that is driven by it’s melodies, “Astral” is a really beautiful piece of music from Cosmic Elegy. The first half flows with glistening melodies playfully dancing above smooth drum tracks and warm textures. Things really pick up as we approach the second half of the track, with Cosmic Elegy eventually transitioning us seamlessly to a smooth future bass/chillstep hybrid sound that rounds out a particularly charming and inspiring release. GR∆Y MATTER - Reach (Original Mix)

Budding production talent, GR∆Y MATTER, delivers an inspiring original track entitled “Reach” for the 2018 Insomniac Discovery Project.

GR∆Y MATTER’s production quality has certainly grown over the past year, and “Reach” really marks a great next step in this producer’s journey. With a unique and clean chill trap approach that also features slight dubstep elements, “Reach” features some stellar atmospheres, deep basslines which form powerful emotions, and excellent drum tracks in the drop sections that keep the track flowing brilliantly through almost four minutes of soaring bliss. My personal favorite sections include the intro and the breakdown in the middle of the track, which really pack in the emotions and define this track’s ambiance. Altogether, this is a really awesome release from GR∆Y MATTER and a must hear as we approach the weekend. Stream now and be sure to drop GR∆Y MATTER a follow on Soundcloud below:

Chris Brown - Yeah 3X (Caffrey Rework)

Budding Ohio-based production/DJ talent, Caffrey, has delivered an energetic and club-ready rework of Chris Brown’s hit, “Yeah 3X.”

To be perfectly honest, I’m not much of a fan of the original Chris Brown track. However, upon hearing this rework which transforms the hip hop original into an energetic house cut, I was immediately impressed with Caffrey’s production abilities. Driven by a steady, simplistic bassline groove and energetic drum tracks, Caffrey does a really good job of keeping his audience in mind, delivering a very playable house track that DJ’s would certainly like to drop in their club sets. Although this is just the instrumental version, you can download the full version with vocals below. Be sure to stream here and grab your copy below:

dwilly - ADD Feat. Emilia Ali (SO CALLED Remix)

Budding production/DJ duo, SO CALLED, step up and deliver an incredible remix of dwilly and Emilia Ali’s track, “ADD,” for the Splice remix contest.

As with any remix contest, we’ve heard a ton of remixes from up and coming talents of “ADD” so far, but SO CALLED’s remix is definitely among the best. As a track of “firsts” for the duo which features live guitar for the first time in their production careers, SO CALLED is able to keep the breaks/verses chilled and minimal in structure, creating a smooth platform that allows Emilia Ali’s vocals to really shine. Flowing smoothly to the builds, we’re eventually dropped into fresh trap-inspired sounds with energetic drum tracks layering the bottom half of the track while screeching synth melodies dance playfully along the top. Altogether, this is yet another impressive track from SO CALLED and a must hear as we head into the midweek. Be sure to stream this jam here and vote for the remix in the Splice contest below:
